1938年，为振兴中华茶产业，受当时中国茶叶总公司委派，毕业于法国巴黎大学的范和钧先生与毕业于清华大学的张石城先生带领90多位来自祖国各地的茶叶技术工作者前往热带雨林深处的勐海县筹建茶厂。在总结吸收传统普洱茶产制工艺的基础上，引入了机械制茶技术和设备。1940年，勐海茶厂（原名佛海茶厂）正式建成投产，从而揭开了中国普洱茶历史的新篇章。

　　六十七载的不懈努力，勐海茶厂已成为当今首屈一指的普洱茶生产企业，大益普洱茶也因此成为茶叶行业中的著名品牌。云南七子饼茶和现代普洱茶人工后发酵陈化工艺的巨大成功，无不体现了勐海茶厂对普洱茶行业发展的卓越贡献。

　　今天勐海茶厂已经步入了规模发展时期，拥有占地380多亩的普洱茶综合加工厂，遍布各乡镇的茶叶收购组和茶叶初制所，以及重要原料保证的巴达、布朗山两个万亩绿色生态茶叶种植基地。

　　大益普洱茶作为普洱茶顶尖产品，其大益七子饼茶（7572、7542、7262、7592、8582、8592、7672、7562等）、勐海沱茶、普洱沱茶、普洱砖茶、女儿贡茶、宫廷普洱等，几十年来一直被业内推崇为经典普洱茶的代表，成为无数茶人竞相收藏的普洱茶珍品。

About Menghai Tea Factory
Menghai Tea Factory is located in Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture (a.k.a. Fohai), the heartland of tea.
In 1938, at the request of the China Tea Corporation, Fan Hejun and Zhang Shicheng traveled to Menghai County, deep in the tropical forests of Xishuangbanna with over ninety tea specialists from across the country to establish a tea factory. In the year of 1940, Menghai Tea Factory (originally Fohai Tea Plant) was founded and began production.
Through sixty seven years of dedicated effort, Menghai Tea Factory is now an industry leader for the production of Pu’er Tea. The successful application of the Artificially Post-fermented Aging techniques and the launch of Yunnan Qi Zi Bing Tea are recognized by the industry as Menghai Tea Factory’s major contributions to the field of Pu’er tea.
Now, Menghai Tea Factory has entered into a stage of scaled production; its factory base covers an area of over 60 hectares, and has direct relationships with tea buyers and first-stage processing centers across the region, as well as established bases in the Bada and Bulang organic tea plantations for insurance of the best quality raw materials.
Dayi Pu’er tea is a leader among contemporary Pu’er tea products. Its Qi Zi Bing tea cakes 7572, 7542, 7262, 7592, 8582, 8592, 7672, 7562, etc, and Menghai Teardrop Tea, Pu’er Teardrop Tea, Pu’er Brick Tea, Women’s Tribute Tea and Palace Tea have earned the utmost respect of tea aficionados and collectors the world over.
